“They haven’t even seen the best of John Wall yet.”
John Wall has been sidelined with a ruptured Achilles since January of 2019, and while there were rumors of a potential return this season, Washington Wizard’s management wanted Wall to sit until the 2021-22 season, and that could be a (good) scary thought for the NBA.
In an interview with All the Smoke, a podcast hosted by former NBA players Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson, Wall talked about the last 4-5 seasons he was never truly 100% due to a bone spur, and when he returns he will be better than ever before.
Even with a bone spur, he was one of the best guards in the NBA. Wall was named an All-Star every season from 2014-2018, an NBA All-Defensive Second Team selection in 2015, and an All-NBA Third Team selection in 2017.
At the 25:40 mark, you can also hear Wall talk about the 2009-10 Kentucky team.
While we all await Wall’s much-anticipated return to the hardwood, it’s safe to say he needs a haircut like the rest of us.
