After a hot and heavy month of Kentucky recruiting four-star scoring wing, Johnny Juzang, Juzang finally made the decision to become a Kentucky Wildcat via instagram.
This is far from a surprise if you look at the timing of events, as he has received a visit from Coach Cal and Joel Justus, received an offer from Kentucky, reclassified to the 2019 class, and took an official visit all within a three week window.
Juzang is Kentucky’s fifth commitment thus far for the 2019 class joining Tyrese Maxey, Khalil Whitney, Keion Brooks Jr., and Dontaie Allen.
As a junior, Juzang averaged 22.8 points, 9.5 rebounds, and 2.8 assists on 43% FG and 35% from three. Juzang’s shooting and offensive production will be a welcome sight to next year’s Wildcat team, which currently lacks shooting.
Juzang’s commitment jumped Kentucky’s recruiting class ranking to No. 2, and could improve even more as two top-10 recruits, RJ Hampton and Jaden McDaniels, and graduate transfer, Kerry Blackshear Jr, are nearing their decisions.
Scouting Report: Just like Tyler Herro, Juzang is a natural born “bucket”. Juzang can score inside and out and everywhere in between using quick release jumpers, floaters, and scoop shots to score in the lane. Juzang also plays well off the ball and excels in catch and shoot situations. Juzang does lack athleticism and handling.
